Dutchafy

Frequently Asked Questions

No. Classes are available from complete beginner (A0) to advanced level (C1). During the free discovery call, we assess your current level and design a plan tailored to you.

The standard class length is 1 hour. However, you also have the option of 1.5-hour sessions if you prefer a more intensive pace.

To guarantee real progress and steady improvement in your level, the minimum requirement is one class per week. Consistency is the key to reaching your goals, whether for love, work or exams.

Individual class (€38/h) — 100% personalized and at your own pace.
Duo (€28/person) — Done with another person, ideal for couples or friends.
Group (€18/person) — 3 to 5 students, more dynamic and affordable.

Groups are kept small (max. 5 people) to ensure personalized attention in a dynamic setting. In all cases, Dutch classes are highly personalized.

Classes are held via Google Meet. You just need a phone, computer or tablet with a camera and a stable internet connection.

I offer specific preparation for the A2 Inburgeringsexamen, the B1 Staatsexamen and the B2 Staatsexamen.

100% of the students who have prepared with Dutchafy have passed their Dutch exam.

This is a very personal question, since everyone’s pace is different. However, based on my experience with other students, here’s a realistic estimate:

Average time: Generally, a minimum of one course (3 months) is needed, but for those working or studying at the same time, it’s most common to reach the level around 6 months.

Your commitment matters: It all depends on how much time you can dedicate to studying outside of our classes.

More than an exam: After two courses, you won’t just feel ready to pass the exam — you’ll genuinely be able to use Dutch in your everyday life.

Guidance and strategy: The Inburgeringsexamen consists of 5 exams. During our sessions, I’ll tell you which ones you can take first and guide you on the best time to schedule them based on your progress.

Need it faster? If you’re in a hurry, I offer an intensive course (Speed Course) twice a week for 2 months. This format requires very active participation and commitment to homework, but usually gives excellent results in a short time.

Yes. At Dutchafy we also offer online English classes with the same methodology: individual, duo and group.

However, the approach is different: we don’t do specific preparation for official English exams. The preference is to teach everyday English the kind you’ll actually use.

I’ve prepared students for exams in the past, and I’ve noticed they often end up passing but without knowing how to apply that knowledge in the real world. That’s why I focus on real-life conversation.

The good part about this method is that, by gaining fluency and confidence in real situations, you’ll automatically be better prepared for an exam if you decide to take one  with the added advantage that you’ll also be able to hold your own at a dinner, at work or while traveling.
